That is a line from a song I used to sing with my daddy, every time we would walk out the door to start a vacation, and with today being the last day of school for the 2007/2008 school year I felt it was appropriate to sing....My little Bobbie is growing up so fast, at 12:40 she will officially be in 3rd grade...I was thinking back the other day about when I was in 3rd grade, it was the first time I cussed, the first time I kissed a boy at school, the first time I went on a diet...I was trying to remember how I "felt" and what things I thought about and the things my friends and I talked about...I am so conflicted as I am sure most moms are in that I don't want my kids to grow up, Sometimes I would love to freeze time and keep them just as they are....but other times I can't wait for them to grow up and to go through different "stages" with them....as they grow it makes me miss my daddy more and more, I think of the things he is missing and that my girls are missing with their Papa...Bobbie got a district award and a trophy and a gold medal for school stuff this week and then while playing softball she slid into home to score a run...that's all stuff daddy would have eating up...ah well, time goes on and I can't freeze it or go back in time, so I should get used to things changing....*stomps feet and throws temper tantrum* I don't want things to change...Life is perfect NOW!!!!!
I guess I got a little off topic since I meant to have a lite airy post about sleeping in this summer...oh well....
